What is Medfools?

Medfools.com started as an idea to help people striving to achieve their goals in careers in Medical Education. The Road to becoming a Doctor is filled with obstacles, and people can use all the help they can get! Medfools is dedicated to providing free help to premeds, med students, and residents as they complete their training.

Why "Medfools"?
Partly inspired by the Motley Fools website for financial advice, because of their desire to provide a sort of advice and research forum for everyday people, Medfools was started to help everyone and anyone who wants it. (we are not endorsed by or affliated with the Motley Fools)

The word "fool" has so many different connotations:
1. One who is deficient in judgment, sense, or understanding.
2. One who acts unwisely on a given occasion: "I was a fool to have quit my job. "
3. One who has been tricked or made to appear ridiculous
4. Informal. A person with a talent or enthusiasm for a certain activity. "He's a dancing fool"

The pursuit of Medical Education leads down so many different paths, that often as students, and residents we feel that we must have been fools to have chosen such a long and difficult road!

Who is Medfools?
Medfools is for students by students, for residents by residents. Medfools was founded by current residents in hospitals around the country. As students we understood the confusion and the stress that ensues when we chose this career.

How can I help?
Medfools is not commercially supported. We would love it if we got a big name pharmaceutical or medical equipment maker to sponsor us, but short of that, please help support the site by shopping through our links for Amazon.com and by spreading the word about Medfools.

If you have an idea, or material to contribute to the public at large, please email us.
