mmmmmmm...good We love this ice cream maker. It is so easy. It's not too noisy and it is easy to clean. I have only made two batches so far but they came out great. It makes about a quart which is perfect for our family of four. We each get about a cup so you won't sit there and eat the whole carton by yourself! You will need a container to store ice cream in. When it first comes out, it is like thick soft serve. If you want it more solid, you need to transfer it to the freezer but you can't use the maker to do that. I bought the Ben & Jerry recipe book, too and I am looking forward to trying their recipes out.
Love this ice cream freezer! I totally recommend this ice cream freezer. I received one for my Birthday & I'm buying two for Christmas gifts. I recommend you get an extra freezer bowl so you can make more than one batch if you have several people eating.
Great Ice Cream A move from Virginia to Florida meant that I couldn't locate my freezer bowl, so I had forgotten how good homemade ice cream can be. Thinking that the perfect dessert for our Labor Day family picnic would be ice cream, I ordered a new freezer bowl from Amazon. Perhaps I got carried away, but I made strawberry-banana ice cream with bits of brownie, cherry vanilla ice cream with chocolate bits, and absolutely fantastic mango ice cream. After finishing his third bowl of ice cream, my "eat-only-healthy, body-building" nephew said, "I hope you know this is your fault!" And a good time was had by all.
Great Cuisinart spare part! I recently realized that the freezer bowl for my Cuisinart Ice Cream maker, which was stored in our second refrigerator in our garage, had inadvertantly gotten thrown away by my husband. Amazon was the first place I looked, and not only did I locate the spare part right away, it was the most inexpensive of all the sites. Free shipping was included, and I received it more than 3 days ahead of the estimated date of arrival. It's perfect, and I don't have to buy an entire ice cream maker all over again!
