Movin on up!Wednesday, February 25th, 2004We’re moving to a new server! Should be MUCH faster than our old digs! Please bear with us for any server outages!! Posted in Site News | No Comments » Good luck on the MatchSunday, February 8th, 2004For you 4th Year Med Students going thru the MATCH this year, Good Luck! Don’t forget to call/write/email your favorite programs to let them know that you’re still interested in going to their programs, and if you haven’t finalized your lists also make sure to think real hard about what is important to you not only in your training, but in your LIFE! As in real estate: Location, location, location! Good luck everyone! Hope you all like the newer look! Enjoy! Posted in Site News | No Comments » What’s with the RPR anyways?Friday, February 6th, 2004I don’t get it. Really. Does it make sense that we must screen every single nursing home patient to see if they have a positive RPR or not? C’mon, how many of these elderly guys really have latent syphillis? and more importantly, do we REALLY think that they’ll be running around and spreading it to other nursing home patients? A Chest X Ray for TB I can maybe understand, but this has gone too far! So, my stint at Major Government Hospital is almost up, and I can’t wait to be free!! Last week my attending was assaulted by a one legged man when we tried to remove his potassium salt (Sodium Substitute since he was on a low Na diet for CHF) from him! Hilarious!
